About Us

FORCS Restaurant Accounting and Operations blog is an independent publication launched in 2025 by Steven Mamis, MBA. I created FORCS to give restaurant owners and operators a solution that is lacking when it comes to accounting and operations support for restaurants. The choices were either unprepared, error prone offshore teams that lacked the real experience to help, or overpriced CPA's and large shops that overcharge for basic services.

FORCS is different. We are experienced in both accounting and operations support, and can provide all of the services owners and operators need to be successful. We provide:

Basic bookkeeping:
-A/P Entry
-A/R Entry
-Bank reconciliation
-Bill payment

Full Service Controller/CPA/CFO level management:
- Adhoc/Custom Reporting
- Financial Statement Review
- CoA Setup and Cleanup
- Third party delivery reconciliations
- POS to bank to accounting tie out
- Forecasting and Budgets
- Sales and use tax filing and payments
- 1099's
- and more

Operations support including:
- New items creation
- Inventory Reviews with analysis
- Recipe creation
- Waste log and Item transfer approvals
- Equivalency setups

HR & Payroll:
- Employee Onboarding, E-verify, WOTC
- Job board posting, applicant tracking, & candidate screening
- Payroll check and direct deposit processing
- Paryoll tax filings
- HR library, labor law posters, trainings, certificate tracking

Software Expertise:
-POS: Toast, PAR/Brink, Square, Clover
-Accounting: Quickbooks (Desktop and Online), Restaurant365
-Operations/Recipe/Inventory: MarginEdge, XtraChef, R365, Meez

And because we don't have fancy offices or lots of organizational overhead, we do all of this for less than the other guys. We guarantee we can beat anyone else and provide better quality services.

If you're a restaurant owner or operator, and feel: Tired of wondering where the money went? Tired of calling out the same corrections to the "cheap" offshore team? Tired of paying thousands for low quality work from other providers that don't reply to your emails?
